Hi everyone! How are things on your side of the planet?

Its not too cold here in Cyprus. around 15 °C or 61°F. Party cloudy.. Wish it would rain more!

We have some snow on Troodos mountains (the only real mountain range we have). Wish I could there for the weekend! Its beautiful.

I was watching Euronews this morning.. Its really a rather interesting broadcast.

This article grabbed my attention:

"Melting ice drowning cities on one hand, while on the other: efficient housing and biomass, solar, wind and wave energy alternatives." a snippet to get you interested.

Also a random picture to make you smile

GUA Junior Academy

Hi everyone, I would like to tell you a little about the under 16 website I am creating.

There will be educational, fun games, competitions and lots of other fun things to do and see.

The website will be created with the younger audience in mind. This means they will be no contact between members and no personal information can be given.

I'd like to keep the greater details of the Junior Academy website a surprise until opening day :)

Greatings!

Hello everyone, my name is Skevi (Ske - vee) and I come from Larnaca, Cyprus.

I have started this blog to talk about the new online community ( which I'd rather refer to as an International Community) that (I hope) will be ready by late August/September.

I'd also like to talk/rant a little about new technologies, space, and anything and everything else.

OK! Lets start with why I am creating this new community.

Well quite basically, I want to create a safe, fun place for all people to join in "alliance" for a good cause, be it helping the elderly, making new ideas or designing a new technology. I'd like to have a group of friendly people who can get along online without the usual profanities.

There will be a hierarchical system that will give members the opportunity to gain points to advance & receive various discounts. Members will also recieve recognition & awards for their work.

Members (both free & paid) can enter in the many competitions that we will host, open to all members, anywhere in the world. The prizes could be consumer goods, cash or contacts with the companies offering the competitions.

They will be different departments each focusing on different sectors (engineering, education etc).

Theres really lots more to say, but for now I will leave you with a couple of pictures & a link to my YouTube page where I have posted a few videos on GUA.
